Can’t Take My Eyes Off These Blogs #4

As you are reading this, husband and I are in Las Vegas for Vision Expo West AND our tenth wedding anniversary. It’s great that they happened on the same weekend. We can take a mini-vacation and write it off as a business expense. Conferences are a great way to get fired up about what you are doing. Hopefully, I will be able to attend Fincon next year for that same reason. If you don’t hear from me for a few days, I must have hit it big and am counting my money.

Eyes on the dollar continues to grow, in spite of my inadequacies, because of all the selfless bloggers out there who continue to support me. This week I was featured on several sites. Love back to all you guys. I am doing the list a little early this week, so PLEASE let me know if I missed someone.

Andrea gave me the opportunity to go a guest post, In Search of Perfect  at So Over This. It drove up some controversy, so check it out and see what you think.

Quick Hits and Weekend Reading-Young Adult Money (I’m glad DC could still do a round up after all he ate at the fair)

Blog Roundup for August 31, 2012-My Canuck Buck (Don’t you just love saying that. Just rolls right off the tongue!)

End of August 2012 Favorite Posts-Modest Money (There are some seriously funny searches for Jeremy’s blog)

Carnivals, Mentions, & Weekend Reading #27-Work Save Live ( I hope you have a better weekend this week)

I Won’t Respond to These Emails and Neither Should You:Top Ten Family Finance Posts #11-My Family Finances (John wins longest title this week, but really good info in there)

I also couldn’t take my eyes off these posts

How Much it Costs to Go to Disney World-Trip Cost Report-Money Life & More. They don’t call it the Magic Kingdom for nothing. Watch your money magically disappear, but Lance did great.

How Far Would You Go for Family?- So Over This. I feel your pain. Pretty sure between now and forever, I couldn’t send that many texts.

Where to Find Pet Insurance-Young Adult Money. I always love when people plan before getting a pet.

Identity Theft: Seniors and Apartments-We Got Outta Debt. People who are mean to children and old people have a special place reserved in hell. Protect your elders!

Should You Take Out Your 401K to Pay Off the House?-Life and My Finances. No you should not and Derek shows you the math.

Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom-Street Smart Finance. Are you at 20%?

Toothpaste Headlight Restoration-Timeless Finance. Who would have ever known this. I learn so much from blogs!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. To those bloggers at Fincon, drink your water. You’re really a mile above sea level. Until next time.

Did you attend a conference this weekend? Who’s more exciting, PF bloggers or Eyeball doctors?

  1. Thanks for including me! I really appreciate it. And yes it was quite the feat being able to write my roundup even after stuffing my face :0 Oh and with the pet, we went to the humane society and fell in love with a 6yo lab/retriever mix. She was very shy but got used to us after a bit. Unfortunately….we don’t even close on our house for a month so we definitely can’t even consider getting her anytime soon.

    1. That’s why I can’t go to the pound! I always want to bring one home. We actually got a dog from Burger King on the Navajo reservation. It is a known congregating place for stay dogs. They just seem to know they will get fed and someone might just take them home. My husband won’t even let me stop there anymore.

  2. We did not attend FinCon (or Vision Expo!) but we’re going to be going to a conference on Cell Therapy soon. I’m attending as media so it’s going to be a busy week for writing!

  3. It’s nice that you are hitting two birds at a time — getting anniversary timeout and attending vision expo to write off your trip charges. Way to go, Kim! Thanks for the kind mention. I really appreciate it.
