Eyes on the Dollar 20/20 Roundup #31- Good Things

If only English spelling was that easy!
If only English spelling was that easy!

I am really happy to see this weekend. It seems like my whole family has been battling one illness or another for a few weeks now, but I hope we’re all on the mend. My daughter is in spring cleaning mode, as she labeled all of our bathroom drawers this week!

I’m almost afraid to put it in writing, but it looks like the first part of  my business sale is set to close next Friday the 29th, which also happens to be my daughter’s birthday. I want to do a few posts about the experience of selling a business, but I’m not sure if that would be interesting or helpful to my readers. Let me know if you want to hear more about it or if that would bore you to tears. I also have a couple of posts coming up next week about a secret real estate deal that I have been keeping from you. You’ll have to check back Monday if you don’t die of curiosity first.

Ebook is Launched!

I’m proud to have been an co-author of a new ebook that was launched this week. You can check out “The A-Z of Saving Money” here or on Amazon. If you’ve read it and could post a review on Amazon, I’ll owe you big time.

20/20 Posts of the Week

It’s really hard to choose just five, but I think it actually works better than a longer list. While picking 5 20/20 posts,  there was one that really stuck out this week as my absolute favorite. It will be the 20/15 post. (Like Alexa ranking, the lower the bottom number, the better!)

20/15 Post

Top Five 20/20 Posts

  1. We’ve all been sick here too in KY! Man, so glad it’s finally over.

I’m not too interested in selling my business as it’s just getting started but thanks for sharing! =)

  2. Kim, your daughter is AWESOME! My kids aren’t old enough to spell yet, but I hope the beginning stages of spelling look like this. And I don’t think anything you would write would be boring, so why not write about selling your business? Thanks for the mention too 🙂

  3. I think I’ll need to start spring cleaning soon too! I would love to hear about how to sell a business. I’d also like to hear you perspective on buying a business as an investment. Clearly there are buyers out there. Do they tend to be individual investors or institutional?

    1. In my case, they are individuals, although I have heard of medical practices being bought by corporations to turn into a chain type establishment or to form a huge group of medical specialties owned by one company. In my small geographical area, the big corps aren’t that interested.

  4. I think you should definitely talk about selling your business! I’m a valuation analyst and deal with business sales all the time and would be interesting to read a personal view on it.

    1. I’m sure an analyst would tell me that I did it all wrong. I’m sure I’ve made every mistake there is, but it should be a good to learn what not to do.

    1. She is really big on the labeling stage at this point. I never know what I’m going to find a label on. I’m waiting for on on the “toylet” itself.
