Top Ten Moments of 2014
It’s Christmas Eve! We are looking forward to a couple of days of down time and then a trip to Kentucky to visit my family. Because I’m watching A Christmas Story and don’t want to think about a real post, I thought I’d share my top 10 moments of 2014.
10) Having my best triathlon time ever at age 40
9) Seeing our daughter and her friend ski the mini terrain park in Telluride and pop a little air on the jumps
8) Getting our foster dog Blake adopted
7) Having our first girls only hike in Moab with my daughter
6) Hiking Fisher Towers
5)Selling my practice/ Jim’s new job
4) Torrey Pines hike/picnic
3) Hanging Lake hike
2)Visiting Yellowstone National Park
1) Family trip to Hawaii
It is very interesting to me that all of my items, aside from selling my practice and Jim getting a better job, do not involve material things or money at all. I think it’s obvious that experiences and family time mean much more to me than anything I could buy at a store.
I wish everyone a happy holiday season. I hope you get to enjoy the small things and reflect on your good memories of the past year.
What is your best moment of 2014?
These are such great moments Kim!! My favorite moments of 2014 were spent with my hubby and son. We did a number of small day trips into the city to see the 9/11 memorial and visit museums and I always enjoy the times we have as a family. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and you have a happy new year!!
Kim-we have three of the same moments! All of your top three-LOL. Is this a Colorado thing? Hope you had an amazing Christmas.
Sounds like you had a fabulous year! Totally agree with you on the best moments being about spending time together and experiences. I think our best times of 2014 would also largely involve hiking :). Your family photo is absolutely gorgeous! Hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas week and Happy New Year!
Sounds like a great year!!! Cute dog 🙂 Happy holidays to you & your family.
(I’m part of the new Happy Homeowner team. It’s now me, Mark, and Noah at the reigns. Stop by and read our post from the other day where we introduced ourselves!)
I couldn’t agree more!
Of course, the best memory from 2014 is the arrival of our son, but the runner up is our family vacation!
Fantastic year, Kim. I hope 2015 is even better!
What a great year! 2014 was pretty fab for me too, not sure I can narrow it down to one thing, I’m just so grateful for all of it!
