Culver’s is a fast-food restaurant company that is privately owned and operated in the Midwestern United States. It all started back in 1984 when Craig and Lea Culver opened the very first Culver’s along with the parents George and Ruth in the beloved hometown of Sauk City, Wisconsin. The family didn’t know that after some years this restaurant will turn into a big brand.
George Culver, the son of a cheesemaker and grandson of a Wisconsin farmer, spent the early part of his career inspecting and grading the dairy farms of Wisconsin Dairies Cooperative. While George was working hard, her wife Ruth was raising their three children by feeding them the values of Midwest that she came to know while growing up in Sauk City.
The year was 1961 when George and Ruth got the opportunity for buying their first-ever restaurant. Both didn’t have any professional or formal training but Ruth’s warm hospitality and George’s natural skill of kitchen command went really well. These two were enough to start the business. The growing kids started as waiters and learners of how to make delicious food with passion and dedication. Gradually the Culver’s family team became the model of many successful restaurants.
In 1984, Craig invented an idea that would take the Midwest by storm. He combined the love of hamburgers with his favorite childhood dish, Fresh Frozen Custard to produce the signature dish that’s called Culver’s ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard.
It’s hard to earn a good reputation and even harder to maintain it. Culver’s has gained some serious followers over the years by cooking delicious ButterBurger. Yes, ButterBurger is the signature item of this fast-food restaurant. Every ButterBurger is made using 100% fresh, never frozen beef, seared to perfection and served on a light buttered toasted bun for that premium touch of goodness. It takes a good amount of time to make this burger but it’s worth waiting every second.
